The Guitar Player

The Guitar Player
Oil on canvas, 30” × 40”, 2009.

This painting is the very first attempt at what has become one of the favorite themes of Proner: Transience. The framing is focused on the guitar player, and cuts through the transient passers by. The long shadows reinforce the feeling of a fugitive reality. The dog is the only stable spectator: as in “Bubbles”, dogs take reality at face value.
